I'm not sure what the author/compiler of this book was thinking putting a toilet on the front and calling it "A Laxative for Creative Constipation." I'm guessing he thought it was a cute joke but it risks undermining the integrity of the content, which is absolutely top notch. This is the best rhyming dictionary I've ever used, even surpassing Clement Wood's - though it takes essentially the same approach and updates it with modern language. Rhymes are broken down by vowel sounds, which allows for including rhymes that aren't "perfect" but will still sound absolutely suitable in a song. I've always used this approach in my songwriting and am elated to find a book that will facilitate the process. Like in Wood, the rhymes are broken into groups according to the number of syllables, if you look up "warning," you might see "top of the morning" at the end of the list. Just flipping through the book at random has helped me come up with lines that I never would have thought of otherwise. (Now if I can just find a nice book cover so people won't think I'm pouring over a book about poop jokes, I'll be in good shape...)

This is a great book. It can be a little confusing to navigate and sometimes things don't really rhyme together in the columns. But, it's a great tool to use words you wouldn't usually think of when writing.
Sometimes I wish I could do half stars when rating. This would be a 3 1/2. Good book. Great rhymes and such but the first part of book came apart in my hands. Don't know if Texas heat got it or what but binding was a huge issue for me.
Love this book so much. If you already have an artistic mind, it just makes that connection flow faster when you’re working on a new tune, poem, spoken word piece. Reccomend to all my friends.
Please everyone support my brother Romane and go cop that Book of Rhymes. Alot mumble jumble rhyming in Hip-Hop now days and rappers can't rap/rhyme. Rappers is constipated dawg, but this book is a laxative for creative constipation. This is what the game's been missing, for all of you fake rappers....
